Could you apply as a freshman if you actually qualify as a transfer?

If you were to apply to a school using a freshman application when you have taken over the amount of credits at a junior college that would classify you as a transfer, are they actually going to check? My junior college results sucks in science and math and I just want to use my HS grades for admission. Just wondering if they search your name or SSN against schools nationwide to know that you fibbed about not going to a JC.
